The Bellamy atlas

For the cultural-historic project 'The Bellamy neighbourhood:
a village within the city' an atlas was developed to support the discussion about the future development of this area in Amsterdam. The 'Bellamy Atlas' makes the structure of the area understandable by presenting its relation to the water, the ownership, the streets, the buildings, the orientation an access to buildings and the gardens. The development of these themes is made visible by a series of worked historical maps. On the basis of these maps the solutions to today's problems like car parking, public parks and the wish of owners to expand their homes can be contemplated.

Thoth publishers will publish the Bellamy Atlas in 2010.
